Description
The six-inch lift springs use a two-stage progressive rate. Flex Rate helps keep the tires in contact with terrain during articulation.
Construction and application
- The progressive, two-stage long-travel spring uses a first Flex Rate that expands during full articulation to keep the coil seated at its upper mount and tires in contact with terrain. Compression beyond that stage engages the second Ride Rate.
- SAE9254 spring steel undergoes presetting and high-velocity steel-pellet shot peening. Peening compresses the steel surface to increase tensile strength. The design combines off-road articulation with smooth street-riding characteristics.
