Description
Selected Ford distributors can gain current-sensing dwell control with Ignitor II. The microcontroller maintains energy throughout the RPM range.
Product details
Ignitor II senses coil current and uses a microcontroller to vary dwell, maintaining peak energy throughout the RPM range. It develops up to four times the energy of standard ignition systems between 3000 and 5000 RPM. Using a Flame-Thrower II 0.6-ohm, 45000-volt coil improves high-RPM performance. For selected Ford distributor applications designated 57–74; verify complete model years.
Features
- Adaptive Dwell Maintains Peak Energy Throughout The Entire RPM Range, Reducing Misfires While Improving Engine Performance
- Develops On Average 4 Times More Available Energy Between 3000 And 5000 RPM, And 2 Times More Available Plug Voltage
- Compensates For Inherent Electronic Delay By Adjusting The Spark Timing Throughout The Entire RPM Range
