Edelbrock 1308-E85 VRS-4150 Race Carburetor

Annular boosters and four-circuit billet metering blocks give the VRS-4150 1308-E85 extensive fuel-tuning provisions. This 850-CFM four-barrel is specified for E85 racing use, with mechanical secondaries, no choke, and no EGR.

The throttle arm includes popular transmission-kickdown take-off points. Four differently sized vacuum tubes and provisions for a GM three-wire TPS are built in. Industry-standard screw-in bleeds and jets, plus accessible air bleeds for each circuit, allow adjustment for engine changes and weather.

The 20-percent-larger fuel bowls have dual accelerator-pump circuits. Internal ribs control slosh, while a shaped baffle directs incoming fuel toward the bowl walls to limit foaming. Chamfered Nitrophyl float edges help prevent interrupted fuel flow in hard cornering. Secondary-bowl jet extenders pass through a notched float to keep the jets covered during hard acceleration.

Two auxiliary idle-air screws adjust idle speed without moving the parked throttle blades. Interchangeable idle jets and mixture screws at all four corners provide idle adjustment. Primary and secondary power valves support a leaner cruise mixture and add fuel as vacuum falls.
