Introduced in 1982, the Taper-Lock system uses a high-strength composite bushing with a slight taper that matches the pedestal-base socket. The resulting snug, secure fit can be disengaged as needed. A locking tab resists free turning and helps retain the pedestal. This manually adjustable pedestal has a stated height of 13 inches and includes a post and non-locking swivel seat mount. It meets ABYC H-31 B and carries a limited five-year warranty.
