Design details
- Both front and rear slipper springs slide forward and backward with road input, absorbing and dissipating energy instead of passing it through an equalizer between axles. This reduces bounce, sway and frame flex in travel trailers and fifth wheels, helping limit movement of cabinet contents, pictures, furniture and appliances and stress on roof seams.
Application details
- Comfort Ride 2500-80 changes how road impacts pass through a travel trailer or fifth wheel. Roadmaster's slipper-spring arrangement separates the response of the front and rear axles instead of transmitting each spring's movement through a shared equalizer.
- Both front and rear springs can slide forward and backward as they react to the road. This movement absorbs and dissipates energy to reduce the bounce, sway and frame flex associated with conventional eye-to-eye leaf-spring suspension.
