Description
The CURT 17057 MV Weight Distribution Hitch is a heavy-duty round-bar system designed to help level the tow vehicle and trailer by redistributing a portion of the trailer's tongue weight across the towing setup. Rated for up to 14,000 lb gross trailer weight and 1,400 lb tongue weight, it is designed for compatible 2-inch receiver hitches.
The MV system features forged steel round spring bars, a heavy-duty fabricated head and chain-style snap-up brackets for adjustment. Built-in grease zerk fittings provide convenient lubrication at the spring bar mounting points, while the included 12-inch adjustable shank allows the hitch setup to be positioned for the towing application.

Compatibility & Applications
The included shank is designed for compatible 2" x 2" receiver tube openings and can be used with appropriately rated towing setups.
The system is fully universal rather than vehicle-specific. Before ordering, verify:
- Trailer gross weight and loaded tongue weight
- Tow vehicle towing limits
- Receiver hitch weight-distribution rating
- 2-inch receiver compatibility
- Required rise or drop
- Trailer-frame compatibility with the spring bar brackets
Important
A hitch ball is not included and must be selected separately based on the trailer coupler and towing requirements.
Sway control is not included. The hitch head features attachment tabs for compatible sway control equipment.
The 14,000 lb GTW and 1,400 lb tongue weight figures are maximum hitch ratings. This weight distribution hitch does not increase the tow vehicle's or receiver hitch's rated towing capacity, GVWR, GCWR, payload or axle ratings. Always follow the lowest-rated component in the complete towing system.
Proper weight distribution setup depends on the trailer's actual loaded tongue weight and vehicle configuration. Follow CURT's installation and adjustment procedures before towing.
