The RT Off-Road RT23006 axle kit uses heat-treated 4340 alloy steel and rolled splines in a direct-replacement design for the factory shafts. Heat treatment increases tensile and torsional strength by 30 percent. The Dana 44 shafts have 30 inner splines and five lugs; seals and wheel bearings are included.
