Description
Differential ring gears must be fastened with bolts suited to the axle and ring-gear combination. Crown 4720891 supplies a kit of ten 3/8-inch ring-gear bolts for manufacturer-listed Jeep axle applications; it is not sold as a single bolt.
The fitment chart covers different Dana axles and even changes within a model year, so the axle identification matters more than a broad Wrangler or Cherokee badge. Check the original bolt specification and differential carrier before assembling the gear set.
There are important year-break exceptions: for instance, some early Wrangler YJ Dana 35 rear axles specify a particular bolt length. Compare the removed fasteners with the factory axle specification, and follow the relevant gear-set assembly procedure rather than treating all listed axles alike.
