Description
Bilstein 33-174525 is a B8 5100 steering damper, intended to calm steering shimmy and small unwanted movements in compatible Chevrolet and GMC heavy-duty trucks. It attaches to the steering linkage rather than acting as a front or rear suspension shock absorber.
The zinc-plated monotube stabilizer uses a protective black boot and a 46 mm piston. The manufacturer lists a 12.83-inch compressed length and 20.08-inch extended length; check bracket and eye fitment, especially if the vehicle has an altered steering system.
