Description
The B8 5160 25-312157 uses a remote reservoir to increase cooling capacity and wheel travel compared with a conventional shock. It belongs to Bilstein's direct-fit range for lifted trucks and SUVs, with exact Mercedes-Benz applications below. Application-tuned velocity-sensitive digressive valving and nitrogen monotube construction support consistent damping with reduced fade and off-road durability.
Reservoir installation
A 360-degree swivel banjo hose fitting supports a low-profile installation, with a billet reservoir mount where applicable. This single silver shock has a 9/16-inch rod, eyelet upper mount and stud lower mount. Lengths are 16 inches compressed and 24.57 inches extended. Ride height is adjustable; a boot and spring are not included.
