Description
The twelve-inch coilover spring carries a 150-pound-per-inch rate. Flat ends support even seating.
Construction and application
- Softride processing uses high-tensile chrome-silicon wire and high-velocity hard-steel-pellet shot peening to compress the surface and increase tensile strength.
- Presetting fully compresses the spring until its coils touch at solid height to relieve stress and prevent sag. Each spring undergoes cycle testing.
- Closed ends are ground flat, perpendicular to the spring axis, to distribute force evenly and simplify assembly. The process controls spring height and rate for off-road response and consistent handling.

Additional product details
The flat end seats of the 2.5X12X150PR spring are closed and ground perpendicular to the coil axis, helping distribute force evenly in the working assembly. Softride construction uses high-tensile chrome-silicon wire, steel-pellet shot peening for surface compression and increased tensile strength, and presetting to solid height for stress relief and sag control. Cycle testing completes the process.
