Descripción
A 250-pound-per-inch rate defines this ten-inch coilover spring. Its closed ends provide flat seats.
Construction and application
- Softride processing uses high-tensile chrome-silicon wire and high-velocity hard-steel-pellet shot peening to compress the surface and increase tensile strength.
- Presetting fully compresses the spring until its coils touch at solid height to relieve stress and prevent sag. Each spring undergoes cycle testing.
- Closed ends are ground flat, perpendicular to the spring axis, to distribute force evenly and simplify assembly. The process controls spring height and rate for off-road response and consistent handling.

Additional product details
High-tensile chrome-silicon wire forms the 2.5X10X250PR Softride spring. Steel-pellet shot peening compresses the wire surface for greater tensile strength, while presetting to solid height relieves stress and limits sag. The cycle-tested coil has closed ends ground perpendicular to its axis, providing flat seats for even force transfer and easier assembly.
