Shieldsflex II marine water and exhaust hose has a black synthetic-rubber tube and cover, reinforced by a wire helix embedded between plies of heavy-duty synthetic cord. It resists exhaust fumes, ozone, mild chemicals, antifreeze and saltwater, as well as abrasion and odor permeation. Ozone resistance is twice the SAE J2006 requirement. Applications include engine intake; wet-exhaust connections requiring bends or long lengths; bilge-pump intake and discharge; scupper lines; toilet intake and discharge; and holding-tank vents and pump-out lines. Temperature limits are -20 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit continuously and 250 degrees Fahrenheit intermittently. Limited warranty coverage is two years.
