The part is identified by its own manufacturer number in an original Dometic RM2553 spare-parts list and in additional model breakdowns. It is not a replacement for the entire burner assembly or manual temperature control.

On older refrigerator layouts the valve is shown near the thermocouple, thermostat and burner connections. Because nearby parts can look similar, this used replacement should be compared against the removed valve’s stamped number, ports and mounting arrangement—not selected solely because the refrigerator has an RM-series model name.

Part specifications

Manufacturer part number

2931656017

Component

Gas safety valve

Manufacturer document

Dometic RM2553 product number 921142027 (2008 spare-parts list)

Historical cross-references

170755003 (safety valve) and 2000999009 (safety-valve magnet) reference this part in legacy charts; do not assume a loose magnet is included

Quantity

One used valve; attached fittings and sensors not guaranteed

Documented model references

Dometic original parts document for RM2553, product 921142027, lists 2931656017 at gas assembly position 2.
